SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Omotayo Ogunbadewa obtained his law degree (LL. B) from Benson Idahosa University Edo State, whilst at University he was President of the Law Students Association.

He is a member of Nigerian Bar Association and also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Nigeria Branch.

Senior Associate

Rukevwe is the Assistant Head of the Family Law / Wealth Management Practice Group.

She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Benin, with a Second Class Upper Honours in 2014 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Lucy is an Associate with the Firm. She obtained her LL.B from the Ambrose Alli University , Edo State with a Second Class Upper Honours.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Nnamdi is an Associate of the Firm.

He obtained his LL.B from the Ebonyi State University in 2015 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016. He also has an LLM with Distinction in Energy and Natural Resources Law from the University of East London, UK in 2018.

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, and an associate member of the Energy Institute, London.

Senior Associate

Olubunmi is a 2013 graduate of the University of Benin and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2014. While at the University of Benin, Olubunmi served as a judge at the law faculty’s moot court.

Olubunmi is a member of:Nigerian Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (U.K) Nigeria Branch, Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria

Tobi is an Associate in the Firms Lagos branch. He is a member of the Property law practice group, the Company Secretarial practice group and the Family law practice group. He was admitted into the Nigerian Bar in 2017 and joined the Firm in 2019. .

He has an LLM in International Business Law from Coventry University, UK 2019. He also has certificates in Global Professional Development and Professional Consulting from the Chartered Management Institute, UK 2019. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar association.

Associate

Ifeanyi is the Assistant Head for Taxation Practice Group.

He obtained his LL.B from University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2017, with Second Class (Upper Division). He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School for his Qualifying Legal Certificate where he graduated with Second Class (Upper Division), and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2018.

Over the years, Ifeanyi has developed professional interest and bias for taxation, commercial dispute resolution, insolvency, and corporate restructuring.

He is an Associate, Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria (CITN), Associate, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), and Member, Nigerian Bar Association-Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL).

Senior Associate

Ibukunoluwa is an experienced associate with a demonstrated history of working in the intellectual property, media and entertainment sectors of the legal industry. He routinely provides legal advisory and regulatory services on intellectual property related issues, advising a diverse crop of local and international clients as well as carrying out due diligence on behalf of clients. He acts as of one of PUNUKA’s representatives on the Anticounterfeiting Collaboration Council and was recently appointed to the Bulletins Committee of the International Trademark Association to serve between January 2022 – December 2023.

Ibukunoluwa has also developed a strong interest in dispute resolution. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (Nigerian Branch) and one of the budding litigators in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Associate

Sharon obtained her Bachelor of laws (LL.B) from Babcock University with a Second-Class Upper in 2018 and finished with a First-Class Honours from the Nigerian Law School in 2019. She also has a distinction in her MBA with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Automation with Nexford University.

She is a Tech enthusiast with ample experience in commercial transaction, automation, and forensics and has worked with notable firms such as KPMG Nigeria and Ajoo.NG. She has also completed a series of courses in Fintech and Strategy including ‘Fintech Law and Policy’ with Duke University and ‘Disruptive Strategy’ with the Harvard Business School.

She is a Certified Project Manager, Fraud Auditor and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (U.K) Nigerian Branch (CIArb), Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSAN) and the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC).

Sharon is passionate about promoting child education and has partnered with various organizations to achieve this objective. In 2019, she received an AYEEN Award as the Co-founder of Djeca Foundation (a charity that promotes education in Nigeria).

Adeyemi is an Associate in the firm. He has provided solutions and legal advisory to local and international clients on business management, investment structure, entry plans, portfolio, and risk management as well as proper exit plan in a distressed company.

Adeyemi obtained his Law Degree (LL. B) from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko where he graduated top of his class with a first Class. He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he also graduated with a First class and was called in 2021 to the Nigeria Bar.

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

He is an Associate of the firm. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Benin in 2014 with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division). He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. In 2018, he obtained his Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Benin. In his undergraduate days at the University of Benin, Benson served as a Judge of the Law Faculty’s moot Court.

Prior to joining PUNUKA Attorneys & Solicitors, he had worked in a reputable Nigerian Law Firm where he acquired extensive experience in litigation. He is also an avid researcher that has been published in both local and international peer reviewed journals.

Isaac is an associate in the firm. He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated with Second Class Upper division. He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he graduated with Second Class Upper Division and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. In 2019, he obtained his Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Lagos.

He is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association.

He was call to bar in the year 2015.

He is an Associate of the firm. He attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State and graduated with Second class upper division from the Nigerian Law School Kano Campus. He is passionate about Human rights, Diplomacy, Development, and Peace making.

Lovelyn is an experienced associate in the firm’s corporate and commercial transaction unit. Her core competencies include Company Secretarial and Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Governance, Intellectual Property and Media and entertainment, Corporate Securities and Finance, as well as Mergers and Acquisitions. With a track record of delivering exceptional results, she has consistently demonstrated proficiency in these areas. She has garnered robust experience having advised clients in local and cross-border transactions that cut across diverse aspects of the economy. She is a smart, solution-oriented, and meticulous lawyer. She ingeniously combines her ability to critically analyze the most complex of legal problems and proffer top-notch solutions to clients’ satisfaction.

Lovelyn is deeply committed to the global issue of Climate Change and renewable energy. Her dedication in this area is evident through her involvement in the authorship of a pivotal article on the review of the Petroleum Industry Act and the Climate Change Act for the American Business Council. She continues to be an advocate for sustainability and is actively engaged in ongoing research in this vital field.

She holds certifications in IP from Harvard Law School and WIPO. She is an active member of the NBA.

Hussein Adebanwo is an associate in the Litigation, Insolvency, and Media, Entertainment, and Intellectual Property (MEIT) practice. He graduated with second-class honours (upper division) from Olabisi Onabanjo University, where he obtained a law degree, and proceeded to the Nigeria Law School, where he also graduated with second-class honours (upper division). He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2022.

During his undergraduate days, he held numerous leadership positions; significantly, in his final years, he was the Legal Director of the Students’ Union Government (OOU), doubled as the President of the National Association of Muslim Law Students (OOU Chapter), and was recognized for his exemplary achievements.

His primary interest lies in commercial dispute resolution, insolvency and intellectual property, driven by a deep-rooted desire to unravel complex legal puzzles with his unique ability to analyse and devise innovative strategies.

Richard obtained an LL.B from the University of Nigeria and was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1997. He has extensive experience in both Litigation and ADR in Commercial, Company, Property and Family Law. Richard has consulted for the Firm in these areas since 2016. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Consultant

With over 10 years experience, Erika is highly skilled in Antitrust & Competition Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and consults for the Firm in these areas.

Prior to joining PUNUKA; Erika was an associate at Machdo Meyer and Lefosse ( Partner firm for Linklaters in Brazil ). She has advised companies such as Panasonic, JPMorgan, The Carlyle Group, Telefonica and Aspen .

She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Sao Palo and a Master of Political Sciences degree from Université Paris Est Marne-la Vallée, Paris. Erika is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association and Women in Antitrust, Latin America.
